Made to hold your month

We don't make jewelry. We keep months.

Every Lustre birthstone is shaped by a single pair of hands — for the birthdays, the new beginnings, the ordinary mornings, and the moment your month becomes worth wearing forever.

The Beginning

It started with a garnet worn thin

Lustre did not begin in a boardroom. It began with a garnet — my mother's, set into a band worn thin over fifty years, never once taken off. She said a birthstone was not something you wore; it was something that wore you in, until it became a part of who you are. I did not understand that until the morning she was gone, and the only thing left of her I could hold was that small circle of red, still warm.

That garnet taught me what a birthstone is actually for. It is not decoration. It is a vessel — for the month you were born, for the year you finally chose yourself, for the tiny stud pressed into a daughter's ear on her thirteenth birthday, for the sapphire clasped around a wrist the night someone said yes. We do not buy birthstones to own metal and stone. We buy them to keep a month from slipping away.

So I built a workshop, not a factory. Today every Lustre birthstone — every garnet set, every amethyst hung, every aquamarine soldered, every emerald strung — passes through the hands of a single artisan from the first sketch to the final polish. No production line. No one else's fingerprints. Just one person who knows your piece by heart, because they shaped every curve of it themselves. When you run your thumb over the setting and feel that faint, imperfect human edge, that is not a flaw. That is the proof a person made this, for you, for your month.

We travel to the source for every stone and choose each one the way my mother chose that garnet — not for the loudest sparkle, but for the kind of light that lasts. Then we hand it to an artisan and ask them to build something worth keeping for fifty years. Because the highest compliment we can imagine is that one day, someone will wear your birthstone thin and still refuse to take it off.

Why We Make Them

The moments that deserve a stone

We do not ask what looks good in a photograph. We ask what you will reach for on the morning that matters — the morning of your month.

The month that made you

A birthstone for the day you arrived. Set by hand so that every year, on the morning of your birthday, the stone catches the light and reminds you who you are.

The morning you chose yourself

A pair of amethyst earrings for the promotion, the new start, the first day you walked in like you belonged. Lightweight enough to forget — until someone tells you how you glow.

The anniversary you almost forgot

A sapphire bracelet clasped over dinner, an emerald pendant that rests at the heartbeat. The birthstone of the month you met, small enough to surprise, lasting enough to retell every year.

The piece you pass down

A ruby necklace built heirloom-grade — the kind your daughter borrows without asking, the kind that one day carries your memory the way a birthstone carries a month.

What We Stand For

Three promises cut into every birthstone

From the mine to your jewelry box, these do not bend.

Ethically Sourced

We trace every birthstone to its origin and partner only with mines that protect both their people and the land — because a stone with a clean conscience shines differently.

Made By One Pair of Hands

No machine sets our birthstones and no assembly line touches our metal. A single artisan shapes your piece from sketch to polish — so it carries the warmth of a person, not the cold of a factory.

Built to Be Inherited

We design every birthstone ring, earring, bracelet, and necklace to be worn daily and passed down for generations. Yours will not just outlast the trends — it will outlast you.

The Craft

From rough stone to heirloom

Four steps. One artisan. No shortcuts.

01

Sourcing

We travel to the mine and hold each rough birthstone up to the light, choosing for character and conscience — not just carat weight.

02

Design

The artisan sketches the piece around the stone, letting the gem decide the form — whether it wants to be a ring, a drop, a cuff, or a pendant.

03

Crafting

One pair of hands sets, solders, shapes, and polishes from start to finish. No one else touches your birthstone until it is done.

04

Finishing

Every facet is inspected under loupe, certified, and placed in a box built to keep it safe for the next fifty years.
